I have a little confession. I used to be obsessed with Starbucks’ Cinnamon Dolce Latte. The cozy cinnamon flavor, the sweetness, the creamy texture… it was my go-to treat. 

But, those trips to Starbucks started adding up, and I wanted a way to enjoy my favorite drink without spending so much money. So, I decided to make it at home!

The best part? This homemade version is not only delicious but also healthier. 

You can control the sweetness, choose your favorite milk, and skip the artificial syrups (Instead of cinnamon dolce syrup, we’re using carob syrup or honey for a natural touch). 

Plus, it’s super easy to make! Let’s get into it.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brewed coffee or espresso (cooled) 
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any milk of your choice)
  • 1-2 tablespoons carob syrup or honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (plus extra for garnish)
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Ice cubes
  • Whipped Cream

How to Make a Homemade Iced Cinnamon Dolce Latte

  1. Brew the Coffee. If you have a French press, use about 2 tablespoons of ground coffee per cup of water. If you have an espresso machine, you can use one or two shots of espresso. Let it cool down before using it in the latte.
  1. Fill a large glass with ice.

  1. Add 1 cup of cooled coffee or espresso.

  1. Pur in 1/2 a cup of almond milk.

  1. Add 1-2 tablespoons of carob syrup or honey (adjust to taste).

  1. Finish your drink with 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon and 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract.

  1. Stir well to mix everything together and add whipped cream with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top.

  • Our favorite coffee choices are dark roast or espresso. They will give the richest flavor.
  • If you want to try a sugar-free option, use stevia or monk fruit sweetener.
  • If you want to use non-diary milk, go for oat milk or coconut milk.
  • Try adding a pinch of nutmeg or cardamom for extra warmth.
  • Use decaf coffee or espresso if you’re avoiding caffeine.
