Green Tea Frappuccino

Green Tea Frappuccino

Sharing is caring!

I don’t know about you, but I love a good Starbucks Green Tea Frappuccino. It’s creamy, sweet, and that matcha flavor is just so good.

The only thing I don’t love? How expensive and sugary those drinks can be.

So, I started making my own tea at home, and honestly, it’s so easy and tastes just as good (if not better).

Plus, you can make it healthier and tweak it however you like. This version is lower in sugar, packed with antioxidants from matcha, and you can even toss in a scoop of protein powder or collagen for a little extra boost.

Today I’m sharing my go-to recipe for a homemade Matcha Frappuccino, along with a few fun tips and ideas to switch it up!

Ingredients

Marble countertop with a glass of almond milk, a spoon of green tea powder,a spoon of honey, a spoon of protein powder, and a banana
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any milk you like)
  • 1-2 teaspoons matcha green tea powder (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (or a sugar-free sweetener)
  • 1 banana
  • 1 tablespoon of protein powder or collagen (optional)
  • A handful of ice

Optional Toppings:

  • A dollop of whipped coconut cream
  • A sprinkle of matcha powder or chocolate shavings

How to Make a Green Tea Frappuccino at Home

  1. In a blender, combine your almond milk, matcha green tea powder, protein powder (if using), sweetener, banana, and ice.

Blend everything up until it’s nice and creamy. If you like it extra thick, just toss in a little more ice.

Tips for the Best Matcha Frappuccino

  • Use good quality matcha powder. It makes a big difference in flavor.
  • Adjust the sweetness to your liking. I personally love using maple syrup for a natural touch.
  • Boost nutrition with add-ins like protein powder, collagen, or even chia seeds!
  • Swap the banana for a few tablespoons of Greek yogurt, a little avocado, or just extra ice for a thicker texture.

Variations to Try

  • Dairy-Free & Vegan Matcha Frappuccino: Use plant-based milk and a vegan sweetener.
  • Protein-Packed Matcha Frappe: Add your favorite vanilla or unflavored protein powder.
  • Low-Sugar Keto Option: Skip the banana, use stevia or monk fruit, and stick with unsweetened almond milk.
