Let me tell you. If you love chocolate, this Chocolate Freakshake is going to be your new favorite treat. 

I made it on a whim one afternoon when I was craving something over-the-top and sweet, and wow… it totally hit the spot! 

It honestly feels like a dessert and a drink all in one. 

If you’re looking for a fun milkshake at home that looks fancy but is really easy to make, this is the one.

Whether you’re planning a little treat for yourself, impressing friends, or just feeling extra, this Chocolate Milkshake is a total showstopper.

Ingredients

For the milkshake:

  • 1 cup chocolate milk
  • 2 scoops chocolate ice cream
  • ½ cup oat milk (or any milk you like)

For the garnish:

  • 1/3 cup your favorite chocolate (to decorate the glass)
  • 2 tbsp marshmallows
  • 1 tbsp dark chocolate chips
  • 2–3 squares blonde or salted caramel chocolate
  • Chocolate sauce (optional)
  • Whipped cream (optional)

How to Make This Chocolate Freakshake

  1. Melt your favorite chocolate. Either in the microwave or gently on the stove. 

While it’s still warm, spread some on the inside and outside of your glass. Then drizzle some around the rim.

  1. In a blender, add your chocolate milk, chocolate ice cream, and oat milk. Blend until it’s smooth and creamy. It should be thick, but still pourable.

  1. Carefully pour your milkshake into the decorated glass. Go slow so the chocolate swirls don’t get ruined.

  1. Shred some of the blonde or salted caramel chocolate and sprinkle it gently into the chocolate rim.

  1. Then add your marshmallows and some chocolate chips.
  1. Add whipped cream if you like, and sprinkle on more marshmallows, chocolate chips, and drizzle some chocolate sauce over the top. Pop in a straw and enjoy right away!

Tips to Make It Even Better

  • You can swap the ice cream flavor. Try cookies & cream, mocha, or even brownie.
  • Use any kind of milk you have: almond, soy, regular, oat. It all works!
  • Want to go even bigger? Add a brownie or a mini chocolate bar on top.
  • Make sure to serve it right away while it’s cold and creamy.
