Smoothie Bowl
I love starting my day with something fresh, colorful, and packed with nutrients.
That’s why homemade smoothie bowls have become one of my favorite breakfasts!
They’re thick, creamy, and loaded with delicious toppings that make every bite fun.
If you’ve never had a thick smoothie bowl, think of it like eating a smoothie with a spoon instead of drinking it.
They are perfect for busy mornings, post-workout fuel, or even a refreshing afternoon snack.
The best part? You can customize it however you like! Think fresh fruit, nuts, seeds, or granola.
Today, I’m sharing an easy smoothie bowl made with dragon fruit. Let’s get blending!
How to Make a Smoothie Bowl
Ingredients

For the Base:
- 1 cup frozen dragon fruit cubes
- 1 cup frozen mixed red fruits (berries, raspberries, cherries, etc.)
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 cup soy milk (or any milk of your choice)
For the Toppings:
- 3-4 strawberries
- ¼ cup blackberries
- 1 banana, sliced
- ¼ cup blueberries
- 1 tbsp pumpkin seeds
- 2 kiwis
Instructions
- In a blender, combine the frozen banana, dragon fruit cubes, mixed red fruits, and milk. Blend the ingredients until smooth and well combined.

- Adjust the consistency. If it’s too thick, add a little more milk. If it’s too runny, add a few ice cubes.

- Wash and slice the kiwis, strawberries, and banana.

- Pour the smoothie into a bowl and arrange the toppings on top.

- Enjoy! Grab a spoon and dig in!

Tips for the Perfect Smoothie Bowl
- Use frozen fruit: Fresh fruit won’t give the same creamy consistency.
- Limit the liquid: Start with a small amount and add more only if needed.
- Use a powerful blender: This helps blend the frozen fruit smoothly.
- Add a thickener: Try Greek yogurt, chia seeds, or even a spoonful of nut butter.
- Give it a Superfood Boost: Sprinkle chia seeds, flaxseeds, or hemp seeds on top.
- Best served immediately: Smoothie bowls taste best when fresh.
- If storing, keep the base separate. Blend again before serving.
- Toppings should be added last-minute: This keeps them fresh and crunchy.

This homemade smoothie bowl is an easy, nutritious, and beautiful way to start your day.
It will become your favorite breakfast recipe!
Feel free to mix and match your favorite toppings. Let me know in the comments what’s your favorite smoothie bowl combo?
Happy blending!
